Export Information
Issuance of Export Certificates Once the Product has Departed the United States
Sometimes product arrives at its international destination without the appropriate export document(s), such as FSIS Form 9060-5. In many of these cases, an Application for Export was not completed and the product was not reinspected or certified for export.

If this scenario occurs and the exporter requests that the product be certified after the product has departed the United States or arrived at its international destination, FSIS inspection officials should not issue the export document(s) or letters of explanation.

Such cases should be reported to FSIS' Office of International Affairs (OIA) for additional assistance. OIA officials can be reached at (202) 720-3473.

Visit FSIS' Web site to learn more about export requirements.
