Export Information
Marketing Information Provided in the Country Requirements
Country requirements often include information published for the sole benefit of the exporter and are considered to be for marketing purposes rather than for food safety requirements. For example, some countries have additional bilingual labeling or special packaging requirements.

If FSIS inspection officials are presented with a product that has additional bilingual labeling or the exporter has not applied special packaging requirements, employees should still provide the exporter with the health certificate, as long as the product meets FSIS regulatory requirements. For more information, review FSIS Form 9060-5, Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness.

Visit FSIS' Web site to learn more about export requirements.
