  • Features

    Northcon11
This program is written to convert a file of records conforming to standard data-layout specifications to NAACCR version 11.1. The input file should consist of records in any version of the NAACCR record layout from version 6 to version 11. The program will also produce output records of versions 10, 9, 8, and 7, if desired, but it will not convert backward from a higher version to a lower version.

    Recnizer
This utility identifies files of cancer registry abstracts in formats prescribed by the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR). It is useful in quickly determining the characteristics of files that are received from an outside source. Recnizer can test for validity files that have caused unexplained problems for other software. The DLL that accompanies Recnizer, rpnaaccr.dll, can be used in other software to verify that a file consists of standard NAACCR records to prevent processing of damaged or ill-formated files.

    Dynamic Link Library (DLL) nconv.dll
This function library contains several functions to perform file conversion or record-by-record conversion when accessed by a program. This is the same DLL used by Northcon11, above, and other Registry Plus software.

    System Requirements

Registry Plus programs are written for the Microsoft® Windows® 32-bit environment installed on an Intel® Pentium® or Pentium-compatible computer. The minimum hardware requirements are the same as those of the Microsoft Windows operating system used. Additional system requirements include:

    • Microsoft operating system from Windows 98 through Windows XP
    • 128 MB RAM (512 MB recommended)
    • Latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer (recommended)
    • 2 MB of free hard disk space

    Future Plans

The Utility Plus Development Priority List is a list of development tasks prioritized by the NPCR Registry Plus development team. Each task is the direct result of meetings with the Registry Plus User Group (RPUG) as well as requests from individual cancer registries and leaders in the cancer registry field. For more information on Registry Plus or RPUG, please contact cancerinfo@cdc.gov.
