Smoke Ridge is your source for meat goats that are raised on natural forage, which convert pasture, brush, and weeds (no concentrates or grain) to a meat for which the demand exceeds the supply. The does kid out on pasture with excellent maternal instincts, slaughter kids reach market weight on natural forage in six months (to be available when market prices are typically highest), respect hot-wire and are used to being handled by people, with Livestock Guardian Dogs to prevent losses to predators. Smoke Ridge breeds pure Spanish, Spanish-Boer and Spanish-Savannah cross goats. Selection is for production (Smoke Ridge does wean an average of 1.9 kids each), maternals, and longevity.
