Contributions to the Image Gallery should be optimized for classroom and/or outreach teaching.
Images Acceptable image formats include JPG, GIF, TIF and PNG. Please use as little compression as possible for JPG images. Images should be no larger than 1024 x 768 pixels. If you must resize a larger image for the Gallery, please make the image you upload between 800x600 and 1024x768 pixels. Smaller images are welcome, but our intent is to offer images as large as reasonable for onscreen viewing.
Video Acceptable video formats include AVI, MOV, RM and WMV. Please indicate the required version of QuickTime, RealOne Player or Windows Media Player if you are using the MOV, RM or WMV formats. For both audio and video, please use as little compression as possible. Please also submit a single frame that will represent the video on the Web site (image file formats are described above).
Animations Acceptable animation formats include SWF and GIF. Please indicate the required version of the Macromedia Flash Player for Flash (SWF) animations. Please also submit a single frame that will represent the animation on the Web site (image file formats are described above).
Other Other acceptable formats include Microsoft PowerPoint Presentations and ZIP Archive files. Please also submit a single image or frame from these files that will represent the file on the Web site (image file formats are described above).
