The Center on Adolescent Sexuality, Pregnancy and Parenting helps adolescents and young adults develop healthy relationships and sexual decision making skills. This is achieved by providing services to community professionals as well as direct services to youth and their parents through regional Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) extension faculty and community partnerships. We create and evaluate curricula for teaching these skills and provide training to those wanting to implement them in their own community, school or organization. The center conducts research on a variety of youth high-risk behavior and protective factors as well as performs program effectiveness evaluation.
