NJFO Senior Biologist Steve Mars is participating in the 2008 Western Canada Cooperative Waterfowl Banding Program as part of a survey crew in remote locations near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Banding efforts will continue through the end of August. Service participation in the cooperative effort is under the direction of the Division of Migratory Bird Managment. Steve recently photographed a coyote caught in one of their traps. The coyote ate all six ducks already in the trap.
