The Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office (LGLFRO) participated in the "Spring into Nature" event hosted by Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge.  This year's event marked the 50th anniversary of the refuge and several local groups were present to discuss conservation programs and demonstrate wildlife-related activities.  The LGLFRO display focused on aquatic invertebrates which were displayed in hand-held microscopes that children could pick up and examine.  Invasive species information was also available.  The LGLFRO also introduced "Great Lakes Greg", the station's newly named fish mascot.  "Greg" greeted many kids who were attending the event.
