WALLKILL RIVER NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGEFRIENDS GROUP HOLDS LIBERTY LOOP BIRD WALK
Northeast Region, March 29, 2008
Print Friendly Version

On March 29, 2008, refuge volunteer and naturalist, Ken Witkowski led a group of 12 people for a slow-paced bird walk to look for migrating waterfowl, raptors and other birds drawn to the rich habitats of the Wallkill river basin. The walk was held at the Liberty Loop Nature Trail, which surrounds more than 175 acres of waterfowl impoundments. The walk was part of a series of interpretive events developed jointly between the Friends of the Wallkill River Refuges and the refuge.
