Fishery biologist, Mike Goehle discusses fishing basics at the Women in the Outdoors Workshop held at Montezuma NWR.

Fishery biologist, Mike Goehle from the Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office taught the "Fishing" section of a "Women in the Outdoors" workshop held at Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge.  The workshop was organized by the National Wild Turkey Federation and Montezuma NWR.  More information about the program can be found at:  http://www.womenintheoutdoors.orgThe fishing section consisted of in-class review of fishing equipment, knot-tying, lures, and fish biology, followed by outdoor demonstration.  Participants practiced casting and fishing with spinning, spin-casting, and fly-fishing gear.
