Kid's Fest is an annual event hosted by the Chicago Park District and Fishin' Buddies to teach children about fish and related aquatic topics, and to provide fishing and boating opportunities on the Chicago River. 

Approximately 150 kids and adults attended the 2-day event.  The kids rotated around to 10 educational stations.  At our station, the children learned about water quality by using an Enviroscape watershed model, and learned about the importance of water quality for healthy fish and wildlife. 

The Chicago Field Office has been involved with the Fishin' Buddies! program for over 11 years.
