Journal Entry   Back Wallkill River National Wildlife RefugeHolds Land Protection Plan Stakeholders and Partners Meeting Northeast Region, February 27, 2007 Print Friendly Version As an important precursor to completing Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge's Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP), refuge manger Edward Henry and refuge planner Beth Goldstein held a land buyer/land holder stakeholder meeting at the refuge. Attendees included a New Jersey Congressman, representatives from two other congressional offices, state, county and local officials, and representatives from more than 15 other groups. The meeting reiterated the partners' support for refuge expansion and included a reaffirmation of the lands of interest by each partner. The meeting was also a forum to express support for the refuge's CCP. Building on this successful meeting, refuge staff will be presenting its proposed CCP to the U. S.
