Journal Entry   Back Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act Report for the Upper Rio Grande Water Operations Review, August 2006 Southwest Region, August 18, 2006 Print Friendly Version On August 18, 2006, the New Mexico Ecological Services Field Office completed a final Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act Report on the Upper Rio Grande Water Operations Review proposed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, and the New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission.  The three agencies are conducting a review of their joint water storage and delivery operations of Federal dams, reservoirs, and other Federal facilities in the upper Rio Grande. Recommended actions included the improvement of fish and wildlife habitat, protection of listed species, actions to avoid impacts to aquatic habitats and wetlands, and actions to mitigate the loss of wetlands and aquatic habitats for unavoidable impacts.
