NAL participated in the 24th Annual Conference of the Native American Fish and Wildlife Society (NAFWS) held at the Bar Harbor Club in Bar Harbor, Maine. The Conference was hosted by the Penobscot Indian Nation and the NE Region of the NAFWS.  These annual conferences provide an important forum for various agencies and Tribes to discuss issues of mutual concern.  On Thursday, May 25, the NAL presented a PowerPoint discussion on cooperative activities with R2 Tribes and the status of TWG and TLIP projects. The NAL’s also met to discuss completion of the Draft Strategic Plan for the NAL Program.  The 2007 Conference will be in Reno, NV and hosted by the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe and the Southwest Region NAFWS.
