Another parcel of land was donated to the Alaska Peninsula Refuge Pavlof Unit by the Conservation Fund on June 15, 2005. The 13,073.75 acre tract, located on the southern shore of Canoe Bay, was reviewed for its certificate of inspection and possession on April 21, 2006 by Refuge Manager Siekaniec and Pilot Richardson. Several bears were seen on the property with flocks of shorebirds, brant and ducks observed along the shoreline, and harbor seals in Canoe Bay. This parcel has a small runway which can easily access the area.
