Santa Fe Indian School Welcomes Mexican Wolf Workshop
Southwest Region, February 17, 2006
Print Friendly Version

On February 17th, 2006, ORP King-Wrenn presented a workshop about the Mexican gray wolf to educators at the Santa Fe Indian School. The half day workshop was attended by 40 educators. All educators who attended were teachers of Native American students. Most educators were Native Americans themselves. Educators not only taught at the Santa Fe school, but at reservation and pueblo schools throughout the State.

The workshop’s compact schedule included an update of MGW recovery in AZ and NM. Educators also received copies of the Refuge’s new MGW Teacher’s Guide and were given the opportunity to experience some the Guide’s lesson plans.
