Travelers passing through the Alaska Airlines terminal in Bethel now have a beautiful Refuge exhibit to enjoy. Two panels of the exhibit entitled, “Habitat and Homes for Wildlife” describe what makes the 20 million acre Refuge and its residents unique.  Photos of berry picking, drift net fishing, wildlife, and wildlands within the Refuge showcase Native culture, fish and wildlife, and incredible scenic beauty.  The third panel is a full color topographical map of the Yukon Delta Refuge.  More than 30 Native villages are located within the boundaries of Yukon Delta Refuge.  Bethel, home to the Refuge Headquarters and Visitor Center, is the aviation hub from which residents and visitors catch flights to villages.
