Journal Entry   Back Northern Maine High Schools hold Mock Environthon at Aroostook NWR 10 Region, April 28, 2005 Print Friendly Version A Mock Envirothon was held on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at the Aroostook NWR. The Mock Environthom is used as a learning opportunity for Northern Maine Schools that are interested in participating in the Envirothon that will be held late this summer. The event was sponsored by Maine Association of Conservation Districts (St. John Valley SWCD, Central Aroostook SWCD and Sothern Aroostook (SWCD), USDA NRCS, USFWS, Maine Dept. of Environmental Protection, Maine Forest Service and Seven Islands Co. Seven teams attended including two teams from Easton and Fort Kent, and one Team from Van Buren, Caribou and Hodgen. Approximately 40 students were presnet and 15 volunteers from sponsoring organizations made the day a great success. No contact information available.
