  Chesapeake Bay Field Office Cooperates to Develop

Link to Northeast Region, USFWS; map of regionWeather in your Watershed is a new program to disperse environmental information nationally through interactive Web sites and TV weather broadcasts. As part of the http://wrc.iewatershed.com/

The introduction of of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as a partner to the Weather in your Watershed project will culminate with a 3-4 minute TV segment during the weather broadcast on NBC4's 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. news during the week of May 24th. The entire on-air segment that NBC4 will create will show interviews with Steve Williams, educational information about local wildlife (especially migratory birds), and Bob Ryan (NBC4 weatherman) introducing viewers to the new Web site.

Weather in Your Watershed meets the Chesapeake Bay Ecosystem Team outreach priority. Wildlife and Their Habitats is the Web site section detailing the diverse habitats and animals of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. We are proactively educating the public and influencing the public's expectations and perceptions concerning the activities of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as related to protection of trust resources and their habitats.
