Mission
The Central Jersey Bird Club has a long-standing and unwavering commitment to excellence in aviculture. Our primary goals are education and support for avian research and conservation. To gather information and share it with all who desire to promote the health and welfare of all avian species, particularly those that are kept or bred as pets and identified as endangered species.

History
CJBC was founded in 1991 by Alice and George Luchento, bird enthusiasts for many years. It serves Somerset, Union and Middlesex counties, but has members from other areas as well. We currently have about 150 active members and are growing all the time.

Become a Member!
Membership in CJBC is simple. Just fill out the Membership Application at your first meeting. Dues are $20 per year for a single member or $25 per family.

 * Meetings
Meetings are held at 7:30 on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the National Starch & Chemical (NSC) Company in Bridgewater, NJ. In August, our club vacations and there is no meeting or newsletter.

Meetings generally consist of a short business update, new member introductions, an educational presentation by a guest speaker on a variety of topics, a show & tell session and an opportunity to chat with other bird owners. Meetings are open to everyone who is interested in birds. Visitors are always welcome.

From...Route 22 East - Take the Finderne Ave exit. At the 4th traffic light make a left into National Starch & Chemical(NSC)

From...Route 22 West - Take the Manville/Finderne Ave exit. Follow the ramp over Rte 22 and make a right turn onto Finderne Ave. At the 3rd traffic light make a left into NSC

From...Route 287 North - Take Route 28 west - Somerville exit. At the 2nd traffic light make a left onto Finderne Ave. At the 2nd traffic light make a left into NSC

From...Route 287 South - Take the Route 22 west exit. From Route 22 take the Manville/Finderne Ave exit. Follow the ramp over Rte 22 and make a right turn onto Finderne Ave. At the 3rd traffic light make a left into NSC
