Employment at the IOM and the National Academies
Over 1,100 employees support the work of the National Academies with thousands of distinguished leaders and experts volunteering their time to serve on committees, plan and participate in seminars, review documents, and assist the work of the National Academies. Members, volunteers, and employees help to address a variety of the Nation's issues.

Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellowships
The Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellowships Program provides an opportunity for outstanding mid-career health professionals to gain an understanding of the health policy process, to contribute to the formulation of new policies and programs, and to develop in their careers as leaders in academic health centers and in health policy.

IOM Anniversary Fellows Program
This fellowship program enables talented, early career health science scholars to participate actively in the work of the IOM and to further their careers as future leaders in the field. Open to social, clinical and biological scientists who hold non-tenured faculty positions in any university, the program will especially welcome nominations of under-represented minority candidates.

The Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program
