National Program Manager (NPM) Guidance FY 2010

NPM Guidance documents are issued annually by EPA’s five major program offices, as follows:

Air & Radiation
Water
Solid Waste and Emergency Response
Prevention, Pesticides and Toxic Substances
Enforcement & Compliance Assurance

Annually, EPA’s National Program Managers issue guidance documents providing EPA’s 10 regional offices, the states and tribes with guidance on programmatic priorities and implementation strategies for the coming year. Throughout the development of these Guidance documents, EPA’s program offices reflect discussions and meetings with state associations, tribes and other key stakeholders. Regions, states and tribes are encouraged to review Guidance documents. Please send all comments to the appropriate National Program Managers (see below) with a cc to Lindsay Adams (adams.lindsay@epa.gov) and Daniel Hopkins (hopkins.daniel@epa.gov) by no later than March 20, 2009. In order to make sure all comments are addressed, all stakeholders providing comments are asked to use the official template (.doc). EPA is continuing to work with the Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) to identify and address high-burden, low-value reporting requirements. EPA has focused on 16 priority areas for burden reduction.
