Objective:
To develop efficient and economic alterative to banding for trapping and killing codling moth larvae on apple tree trunks.
Approach:
A biodegradable foam will be developed to apply to tree trunks, including formulation of a pesticide and a larval pheromone to lure larvae into the foam where they will die. The foam will be applied mechanically and will decompose between seasons. Documents Trust with WTFRC. Log 31211.
