Welcome to the Encyclopedia of Southern Forest Science
This encyclopedia is in the initial stages of development. It will cover all the subjects of Forest Science with a focus on the southern region. Initially, this encyclopedia will be a content summary of two recent synthesis books: The Southern Forest Resource Assessment (Wear and Greis, 2002) and Southern Forest Science: past, present and future (Rauscher and Johnsen, 2004). The Forest Encyclopedia Network project is using this encyclopedia, because of its broad scope, to see whether its possible to organize the content in all the other encyclopedias into a grand synthesis of forest science knowledge.
