HOW TO ORDER. We’d love you to come to the store, chat with us, and see our full selection, as well as (in many cases) publishers’ galley proofs and other material on upcoming books. If you must order by mail or fax, please let us know what titles you want. If the books are current and available, we’ll ship them right off. If they are not yet available, we’ll let you know when they arrive and will notify you of the costs. SHIPPING COSTS. We ship UPS only, except overseas. Shipping is minimum $5.75 in the New York metro area, $6.25 east of the Mississippi, and $7.00 for southern Florida, Texas, the Southwest, and west of the Rockies. For a second book, add $1.00. Above that, we’ll notify you of shipping costs. For overseas shipping, we’ll notify you of costs; surface mail is no longer a bargain and air mail rates are often not much more. PAYMENT. Mail order payments (except overseas) by Mastercard and Visa over $40.00 or by check. On telephone orders, no charges; we prefer to give you a total and you can send us a check. For foreign, we’ll take Master and Visa on all orders. For Canada, Master and Visa are fine. No Canadian checks, sorry, but US$ postal money orders are accepted. THE STORE is located at 1435 Lexington Avenue, between 93 rd and 94 th streets. Our hours are Monday, 1-6, Tuesday to Friday, 10-6:30, Saturday, 11-6.
