Abstract

Beyond Pesticides/National Coalition Against the Misuse of Pesticides (formerly the National Coalition Against the Misuse of Pesticides) is a nonprofit organization formed in February 1981 to bring together health, environmental, labor, farm, consumer, and church groups, as well as concerned individuals, to focus attention on the potential hazards associated with pesticide use. Beyond Pesticides/NCAMP seeks to bring attention to the serious pesticide poisoning problem and to promote reduced pesticide exposure through pest management strategies using fewer or no toxic chemicals. Beyond Pesticides/NCAMP assists community groups with information on alternative pest control methods and supports legislation in this area. Beyond Pesticides/NCAMP is supported by membership fees, donations, and sales of its newsletter.

Publications

Serial publication: Pesticides and You (newsletter), 4 issues per year--news of Federal and State legislation, illegal pesticide use, future threats, and news of Beyond Pesticides/NCAMP's projects; Beyond Pesticides/NCAMP's Technical Report, monthly.
