Objective:
Formulate shared goals to develop technologies that will conserve resources, achieve necessary cost points, improve farmer productivity and efficiencies on the farm, and protect the environment. Potential research areas may include, but not limited to, organic farming, non-chemical alternatives to methyl bromide, pathogen reduction, pest and weed control, on-farm distributed energy generation, and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from on-farm energy use.

Approach:
Ensure that research and technology development is responsive to present and emerging customer and stakeholder needs and national priorities; develop detailed research and technology proposals; facilitate a timely technology development and transfer process; participate in testing and validation of joint research and technology development.
