Objective:
Engage in commom research activities to develop, test, and apply new concepts, tools, and methods to assess and analyze ecological processes including, but not limited to, analytical, physical and computer models of ecosystems, nutrients, chemistry, physics, erosion and biology, and of the related effects of these processes on plants, animals, soil, water and air resources.

Approach:
Conduct field observations and experiments; develop computer software tools; analyze historic data and trends; and other data collection and analysis programs.
