Abstract: This is a complete reference to TWIGS, a forest growth-and-yield program with management and economic components developed for Lake and Central States tree species. The guide describes how TWIGS models growth and yield and how the model can be applied to obtain the best results. Step-by-step operating instructions are provided for TWIGS and its companion program, TREEGEN, which generates tree lists in readable format for TWIGS. The appendices include equations, coefficients, validation tables, and an example printout of a projection run.
