TRiO Student Support Services
The TRiO Student Support Services program is funded by
the US Department of Education and operates within the MSU Division of Student Affairs.
The TRiO/SSS program helps eligible students succeed in college. The professional staff and faculty involved in the program provide the following services:
- Math: excellent instruction in Math 085- Pre-Algebra, and Math103- Intro to Algebra
- Academic Strategies course: EDCI 280, 1-credit, improves learning and life skills
- Academic Strategies Workshops: optimizes learning efficiency
- Tutoring: writing, math, science, statistics, economics and other courses;
- Academic Counseling: assists students with financial, academic or other questions
- TRiO Club: provides leadership experience and opportunities for cultural enrichment
Please note: Students must be eligible for TRiO to participate in program services.
TRiO Student Support Services Mission: to promote learning, personal development, and retention for college students who are traditionally under-represented in, or under-prepared for, post-secondary education because of income, family educational background, or disability.
