12/30 NASA Earth Observatory: Waiting for more Rain in South Africa. South Africa’s Maize Triangle experienced dry conditions during the planting season from October to December.  Farmers typically like to plant most of the corn crop before Christmas but dry conditions have delayed planting this year.
