Alaska 4-H is proud to announce the Alaska Youth in Government Conference March 15-19. Teens aged 14 and up may apply! Each 4-H District will choose two teens to attend the conference in Juneau, Alaska.

The districts are Anchorage, Bethel, Juneau, Kenai, Kodiak, Mat-Su, Nome, and Tanana.  Teens chosen to attend will have all costs covered during the program. Individuals will be responsible for their own transportation to and from Juneau, a couple of meals and their own spending money.  We will provide ground transportation at the conference, lodging and meals. Four Military Teens will be chosen to represent the Military 4-H program with expenses paid as well!

Those selected to attend will be notified by January 20th. Contact your
local 4-H office for application deadline date.
Teens interested in attending should:
1.  Be at least 14 years of age
2.  Have an interest in government
3.  Be able to participate in audios (These audios will cover expectations
and give them a couple of things to do before they get to Juneau.  The
audios are set for January 29, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. and February 19, 2009 at
6:00 p.m.)
