Youth Programs

Summer Transportation Institute
This program is conducted by College of Menominee Nation (CMN) in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT).

The College of Menominee Nation STI offers a four-week summer transportation career exploration program for middle school students. Students participate in preparation courses, computer training, academic enhancement activities, and field trips.

The program focuses on developing the capacity to strengthen the economic development potential on the Menominee Reservation and surrounding areas and to enhance the sustainability through quality education, training, and outreach activities that promote and encourage professional growth. This project will serve to promote and identify career paths in the transportation industry for Native Americans.
