Scenario 2
"The idea of social marketing sounds really good but I still am not sure how to
get buy-in from my boss, Dr. Richards, to let me use this process to plan an
intervention. We're short-staffed and I'm already doing the work of two people!
I'm pretty sure he doesn't want me to spend all my time on this one project. It
seems like he just wants me to rewrite our proposal and see if we can get the
federal money. We may be able to get a graduate intern from Wellington
University to help us, and I can probably use a little money from our block
grant, but our budget is still pretty slim.
I
have a meeting scheduled with Dr. Richards tomorrow to talk about this project,
and I've got to be prepared to counter his objections.
What should I say?"
