کرکٹ کی عالمی تنظیم آئی سی سی نے ڈوپ ٹیسٹ مقدمے میں ملوث فاسٹ باؤلر محمد آصف کے بارے میں پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ سے معلومات طلب کر لی ہیں۔
پچھلے سال جون میں محمد آصف کو دبئی میں مبینہ طور پر افیون رکھنے کے الزام میں گرفتار کیا گیا تھا جِس کے بعد بھارتی پریمیئر لیگ میں بھی وہ ڈوپ ٹیسٹ میں ناکام رہے تھے، جِس کی سماعت کے لیے 24جنوری کی تاریخ مقرر ہے۔ تاہم محمد آصف جمعرات کو بھارت روانہ ہو رہے ہیں جہاں وہ آئی پی ایل حکام سے اپنے واجبات کی وصولی کے لیے بات چیت کریں گے۔
محمد آصف کا کہنا ہے کہ ڈوپ ٹیسٹ مقدمے کی وجہ سے اُنھیں وکیلوں کو بھاری فیس ادا کرنی پڑ رہی ہیں جب کہ اُن کے پاس پیسے ختم ہوتے جارہے ہیں۔
پی سی بی کے ایک سینئر عہدے دار کا کہنا ہے کہ بورڈ کو آئی سی سی کے سربراہ کی طرف سے ایک اِی میل موصول ہوا ہے، جِس میں ادارے سے معلوم کیا گیا ہے کہ اِس معاملے میں کیا پیش رفت ہوئی ہے۔ اِس جرم کی سزا کرکٹ کھیلنے سے تاحیات بندش ہے۔
