Seven groups within the National Institutes of Health will fund the largest long-term epidemiological study of health and disease in Latin American populations living in the US. The National Eye Institute at the National Institutes of Health will look into whether a modified combination of vitamins, minerals and fish oil can further slow the progression of vision lost due to AMD. Findings from a study funded by the National Institutes of Health show that a child's family life has more influence on a child's development through age four and a half than does a child's experience in day care.
