February 1, 2008 - The success of the Southern Forest Resource Assessment has contributed to the launch of a successor effort--the Southern Forest Futures Project. This project promises to analyze and forecast potential changes in the forests of the U.S. South and the implications for their sustainability. As with the Southern Forest Resource Assessment, public input will be an important part of the effort. We encourage you to check it out.
