| Burkina Faso - Northwest Medical Team (NWMT) | NWMT helps improve food security in southwestern Burkina Faso with integrated community development activities that result in income generating opportunities for participants. NWMT works with local nonprofit organizations, farmers' and women's cooperatives, schools, communities, and specialists to implement activities. Some projects include agricultural extension services along with equipment such as plows and oxen to improve agricultural production, grants to female entrepreneurs to establish restaurants and trade goods, and seedlings to farmers to establish tree nurseries. |
