January 2007 Ice Storm Information

If you need individual assistance:
- FEMA teams began assessing individual damages to uninsured private property on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Those assessments are being conducted in Cherokee, Delaware, Haskell, Hughes, Mayes, McIntosh, Muskogee, Pittsburg and Wagoner counties. It is expected assessment teams will complete their work on Friday, Feb. 9 and a decision will be made by FEMA on individual assistance shortly thereafter.
- All individuals and business owners should report uninsured expenses related to the ice storm to their
local city or county emergency management office.
- Residents of Oklahoma's Second Congressional District are encouraged to contact one of Congressman Boren's district offices for help dealing with state and federal agencies.
If you are a city or county officials seeking community assistance:
- Nineteen counties in the Second District are covered under a declaration issued by the president on Thursday, Feb. 1. Those counties are eligible for public assistance – 75 percent reimbursement – for eligible storm-related costs.
- Those counties covered are: Adair, Atoka, Bryan, Cherokee, Coal, Craig, Delaware, Haskell, Hughes, Johnston, Latimer, Mayes, McIntosh, Muskogee, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Pittsburg, Sequoyah, and Wagoner.
