Bonneville's Washington shore visitor center closed Monday morning

Portland, Ore. -The Washington Shore Visitor Center at Bonneville Lock and Dam will be closed to the public from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 26. The visitor center will re-open to the public at noon.

The visitor centers on the Washington shore and at Bradford Island on the Oregon shore both offer a variety of historic displays featuring videos, posters and maps. Guests can watch video presentations describing the dam's history and construction, or get a fish-eye view of salmon and other fish migrating up the dam's fish ladder. The best time to watch migrating fish is April through October.

The Washington Shore Visitor Center is located on Washington State Highway 14 at milepost 40. Bradford Island Visitor Center on the Oregon side of Bonneville is located at Exit 40 off Interstate 84.
