(Time : 59)

Do you know what to do if suddenly you see the flashing lights and hear the siren of an emergency vehicle like a police car? an ambulance? or a fire truck? Obeying all the traffic laws and signals, drive your car to the right hand side of the road and stop. Once they've passed, make sure its safe and pull out safely onto the road. Never stop at an intersection because you may block traffic including the emergency vehicle. Always try to pull over to the right hand side of the road because t at is what the emergency vehicle expects you to do.

For more information on emergency vehicles, pick up a free California Driver handbook written in both Spanish and English at your local California Department of motor vehicles. This message is brought to you by the Agricultural Health and Safety Center, Department of Applied Behavioral Sciences, University of California at Davis.
