The Dalles and John Day navigation locks to close briefly
Portland, Ore.-Navigation locks at two U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Columbia River projects will close briefly for structural inspection and testing next week. The locks will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, at The Dalles Dam, and on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at John Day Dam.
This closure has been coordinated with shippers, towboaters and cruise lines to minimize disruption of river traffic.
