**MEDIA ADVISORY** Corps presents Governor with statewide permit today

Portland, Ore.—The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers today will present Oregon Gov. Ted Kulongoski with a statewide permit designed to streawmline the environmental permitting process. The presentation will be held near the Reed Canyon fish ladder on the Reed College

Campus. Also attending will be University President Colin Diver, Ben Meyer of the National Marine Fisheries Service, Yvonne Vallette of the Environment Protection Agency and Tom Melville of the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality.

The ceremony will begin at 10:15 a.m. To reach Reed Canyon, enter the Reed College North Parking lot entrance on SE Steele. Reed College personnel will be on hand to assist in directions at that point.
