PORTLAND, Ore. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is reviewing an application for a Department of the Army permit to conduct work in waters of the United States. The public notice regarding this permit application was issued during the week of Dec. 17, 2007.

Public Notice NWP-2002-862, requested by Wildish Sand and Gravel Company. The project is located in the McKenzie River downstream of Armitage Park near Eugene, Ore. The applicant proposes to excavate up to 20,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel annually for five years from an 11-acre gravel bar.
