Sustainable Development Institute Partners

Center for First American Forestlands
College of Menominee Nation and US Forest Service formed a partnership that created SDI’s Center for First American Forestlands to promote sustainable forestry management. SDI support staff and a US Forest Liaison to College of Menominee Nation work in tandem on this Center for First American Forestlands initiative. This Center is designed to conduct research, to generate knowledge, and to provide information and technologies to support the sustainable management, development, and utilization of forest resources of the Menominee Nation, tribal nations and indigenous peoples globally, and Northern Wisconsin through appropriate and sustainable focused research, education, technical assistance, and outreach.
