The Smithsonian Associates and the Washington Performing Arts Society join forces to present a series exploring masterpieces of the Romantic piano repertoire. Composer, conductor, and commentator Rob Kapilow deconstructs and reconstructs these masterworks. This evening, hear the Transcendental Etudes C by Franz Liszt (1811-1886), considered the greatest showman in the history of classical music. Adam Neiman is the pianist.
