| Junior Year
|
| 1. Make sure you enroll in the right college prep classes. By the time you graduate from high school, you should have completed:
4 years of English
3 years of Advanced Mathematics
3 years of Laboratory Science
3 years of Social Science
1 year of Fine Arts
2. Take the ACT and have your scores sent to SDSU. The ACT code for SDSU is 3924. Check with your guidance counselor for more information about registering for the ACT.
Remember that first-time freshmen with a 24 or higher ACT composite score are guaranteed a minimum academic scholarship of $4,000 over four years--$1,000 per academic year at SDSU!
3. Visit with SDSU admissions counselors when they visit your school.
4. Visit SDSU! You'll be able to meet with an admissions counselor, take a campus tour with a current student, meet with a professor in your field of interest, and talk with coaches, music faculty, or other activities people.

| Senior Year
|
| 1. Continue college prep courses.
2. Retake the ACT if necessary.
3. Visit with SDSU admissions counselors when they visit your school.
4. Apply to SDSU! We recommend applying during the fall of your senior year.
5. Visit SDSU if you haven't yet.
6. Submit an SDSU Academic Scholarship Application by January 25 of your senior year.
7. If you're already admitted, you'll receive a residence hall packet in mid-February. If you're admitted after February, you'll receive your residence hall packet approximately two weeks after your admission.
8. Apply for financial aid. Submit a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by March 10 of your senior year. The FAFSA is available from your guidance counselor or the SDSU Admissions Office. You can also complete the FAFSA online. The FAFSA code for SDSU is 003471.
9. Attend New Student Orientation in June. You'll become familiar with SDSU, meet with an academic adviser, plan your class schedule, and register for classes. We send detailed information about Orientation to all admitted students in April.
