SDN Digital Certificates Coming Up for Renewal

Projects began training on VACMAN 3.0.8 in March 2004, which means that the 12-month Secure Data Network (SDN) digital certificates will be expiring over the next six months.
You will not be able to exchange data with CDC unless your SDN digital certificate is current.

SDN certificate holders receive a notice that the digital certificate will expire in < no. of > days. The exact expiration date is included in the notice. The notice recurs each time you access the Challenge Phrase screen, until the certificate either expires or renews.

You will need to request a new certificate. The VACMAN team recommends that you apply as soon as you see this notice. For information about requesting, obtaining, and installing your SDN digital certificate, refer to the VACMAN User Guide, Appendix C, or call the VACMAN Help Desk (404.639.8303 ).

The following is a sample snapshot of the expiration Notice screen.

Today's Help Desk Tips

Does your IT staff routinely download Windows® XP or NT updates to your equipment? If service patches are not installed automatically at your project, you always should accept such updates when prompted by your operating system. Failure to do so can cause problems within VACMAN.
