Ph.D. degree:

December – March: Candidates are pre-screened and invited for a paid, two-day on-campus visit/interview. Acceptances are offered on a rolling basis.

Integrated core curriculum with research rotations and one-year to select a faculty mentor 5.1 years – average time to completion of the Ph.D. degree for graduates in 2000 to 2005 Graduates obtain competitive postdoctoral fellowships.

$23,000 annual stipend plus full tuition coverage and WVU student health insurance (included hospitalization and disability)
Dual MD/PhD degree:

April: Deadline for MCAT testing June-November 15: Filing of application to AMCAS December-January: Candidates are pre-screened and invited for an interview with both the MD and MD/PhD Admissions Committee. Acceptances are offered in February.
