Associate Degree Nursing at College of Menominee Nation

The Associate Degree Nursing program at the College of Menominee Nation is a two-year degree.  After successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam that earns them a Registered Professional Nurse license.

A Licensed Practical Nurse stop-out option is built into the program.  This means that after successful completion of the first two semesters of study, students may petition the College and receive a diploma which allows them to sit for the NCLEX-PN licensure exam.  Passing this exam will earn them a Licensed Practical Nurse license.  As long as the student reenters the next semester within a year, the student can continue on to complete the Associate Degree Nursing program without loss of credit or standing.

Classes in the nursing program will be held between both the Oneida and Keshena campuses.  The curriculum of the College of Menominee Nation Associate Degree Nursing program is evidence based and has been developed utilizing current nursing practice and the health needs throughout the lifespan.  In keeping with the mission and guidelines of the College of Menominee Nation, there is an emphasis on the integration of culture throughout the curriculum.

During their program of study, students will provide nursing care in a variety of clinical sites that allow them to practice basic nursing skills as they apply the nursing process to their patients.  These sites include local nursing homes, tribal clinics, urban and rural hospital settings.  Clinical and classroom learning are correlated and clinical sites are located throughout the northeast Wisconsin geographic area.
